Drug development of today and the future

October 19th, 15:00-17:00, Klara Strand, Klarabergsviadukten 90, Stockholm City

The progress in drug development today is moving at the speed of lightning. Some say we are in the midst of a quiet revolution. The possibilities of treating, and in some cases curing patients, with new and revolutionary technology are enormous and the potential for the future holds the promise of even more.

However, this places entirely new demands on both researchers, companies, and producers. New skills and a new way of collaborating between academia, industry and society are required.

Sweden has a growing eco-system of actors that together can take promising projects from idea and lab bench to product on the market. We invite you to this seminar where we want to highlight today’s opportunities and challenges and give a couple of inspiring examples of development projects where collaboration has been the key to success. A number of infrastructures and projects will be presented as well as how we collaborate today. We also hope for a discussion around how we as a Life Science nation should reach our full potential.
